Day/night imaging that does not need floodlight
Lighting a forest belt or a tank farm to feed a CCTV is a fire and a glare problem. Thermal does not ask for light.
White light and IR illuminators announce the site and still fail in fog. Thermal is passive. That is why it is the right sensor for prevention, not only for security.
We still offer dual-spectrum when you need an identification shot after the alarm. The detection layer itself should be thermal.
Field note
Do not spec illuminators as the detection plan. Spec thermal first; add EO only for the handoff shot.
