Fence-line and approach-road detection
A base is lost on the approach road, not at the badge reader. Long-range thermal on the wire and the last kilometers of road gives the TOC time to man the gate.
Military and government perimeters are measured in sectors. Each sector needs a sensor that detects a vehicle and a crawler at a published range, then tracks while the QRF moves. Cooled MWIR is the usual answer when the approach is kilometers; uncooled covers the near wire and dead ground.
We quote platforms that belong on a mast or a tower, with datasheet DRI figures you can put in the OPORD annex — not indoor cores.

Sectorize the wire. One long-range cooled or dual-spectrum PTZ per long approach; uncooled or dual-sensor on short fence runs and culverts.
