Night imaging without continuous lighting
Lighting a right-of-way is expensive and a glare hazard. Thermal does the night job passively.
ITS programs often try to solve detection with more LEDs. That fails in fog and annoys the corridor. Uncooled thermal on the same pole as the existing cabinet is the cleaner spec.
Field note
Do not make illuminators the detection plan. Spec thermal; keep lighting for the identification shot only if required.
